Addiction Services have programs in Barrie, Midland, Collingwood, and Orillia. Please see the LHIN Map to determine if specific programs are offered in your community.

Adult Program
Provides outpatient treatment for those who are concerned about their own or someone else’s use of alcohol, or drug.

Harm reduction philosophy.

Assessment will determine course of treatment options.

Individual as well as group counselling is offered.

Youth Program
Provides early intervention to youth, while assisting in making healthy choices regarding substance use.

Harm reduction philosophy.

Individual counselling, for those 24 years of age and under.

Assessment will determine course of treatment options.

Addictions Services Initiative (ASI) with Ontario Works
To provide outpatient counselling services to individuals whose substance use may be a barrier to employment. The individual is screened through Ontario Works and referred to the ASI program by their Transition Worker.

Gambling Program
Provides outpatient treatment services for those who are concerned about their own or someone else’s gambling behaviour.

Assessment will be completed to ensure appropriate treatment interventions.

Opioid Treatment Program

The Opioid Treatment program provides counselling and support to anybody concerned about their use of opioids or who is on a Methadone or Suboxone program. If you are currently receiving Methadone Maintenance Treatment from another service provider you are still eligible to receive services through this program. Service is also available to concerned family and friends.

In conjunction with the umbrellas program (see description below) services are available for parents who are using opioids and have children 6 years of age and under.

Umbrellas Treatment Program

Umbrellas provides self referred community based counselling and support for women who are pregnant, or mothers of children 6 years of age and under who are concerned about their own, or someone else’s substance use. We recognize that women may use drugs or alcohol to cope with difficult life situations. Services are based on harm reduction principles and other best practice research. Services include individual and group counselling and fast track admission to designated residential treatment facilities.

Sessions can be arranged in other community locations for those who encounter barriers to attending in-office appointments.

Community Withdrawal Management Program
Provides outpatient services to individuals seeking support while experiencing mild to moderate withdrawal from alcohol or drugs. Support is also offered to individuals that are completing a physician directed taper from medications.

Assessment will determine treatment options.
