Community Awareness Program
The Community Awareness Program strives to create a better understanding of mental health and to reduce the stigma. A variety of tailored workshops are available upon request.
Topics include:
- Mental Health 101– An overview of the most common mental health issues as well as discussion regarding the myths surrounding Mental Illness.
- Trauma- The link between Trauma and Mental Health
- Suicide Awareness and Intervention- Workshops can be developed to create awareness of suicide and how to intervene.
- ASSIST- A two-day workshop and suicide intervention.
Workshops can be designed for an hour presentation up to a daylong workshop.

Create Awareness. Participate in CMHA Simcoe County events to help raise awareness, learn about mental health and connect with others
Host an Event. Inspire others by organizing your own event that supports mental health.
Start a Campaign. Create your own fundraising page and share your campaign to help raise awareness for mental health.
Learn about Mental Health. Sign up for a workshop.
Youth Shine Campaign –
$600,000 is the number to make this happen! Our Youth Mental Health Centre is good but could be better with your help. The launch of the “Youth Shine” Campaign will make our centre more inviting and able to offer additional resources for our youth and families. Help us make our new youth mental health centre a reality. find out more
