COVID-19 Pandemic Community and Partner Update
January 18, 2022
As part of our ongoing commitment to the health of our community, CMHA Simcoe County is continuing to follow provincial directives, our local health unit’s guidance and public health measures.
CMHA Simcoe County continues to declare a COVID-19 outbreak within our Crisis Services with the increase of additional staff testing positive for COVID-19. In response to this ongoing outbreak, CMHA Simcoe County is extending the temporary changes to the Crisis Bed Unit.
Effective January 18th, 2022 the Crisis Bed Unit will remain closed for an additional seven days. We will monitor and re-evaluate on January 25th, 2022 and provide updates to the community at that time.
CMHA Simcoe County Crisis Services continues to offer 24/7 telephone support to assist individuals, community agencies, emergency services and family or friends, to work through resolution of identified issues and challenges. Our Community Outreach and Support Team (COAST) in partnership with police services continues to be available to provide crisis intervention services within the community.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the safety of the individuals and families we serve, our dedicated staff, volunteers and students continue to be our focus. We are grateful for each of you who work together to promote better mental health for our community day in and day out.
