CMHA Mental Health Week 2024

A Call to be Kind

We all have the capacity to be compassionate, and we know that doing so can make an enormous difference. This year’s Mental Health Week is centered on the healing power of compassion. In a world plagued by suffering, we emphasize that kindness is equally intrinsic to our humanity. Join us from May 6 to 12, 2024 to explore how compassion connects us all.

This Canadian Mental Health Week we focus on the power of compassion and the impact it can have on those struggling with mental health challenges.

Compassion has the remarkable ability to uplift and empower individuals who may be struggling with mental health issues. It’s in through moments of genuine understanding, kindness, and empathy that individuals feel truly seen, heard, and valued. These moments become the foundation for healing, recovery, and personal growth.

I firmly believe that each one of us has the capacity to be compassionate in our everyday lives. It’s through small acts of kindness and understanding that we can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
