Happy Holidays from CMHA SCB
Dec 18, 2024
As we reflect on 2024, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed to the success and growth of CMHA Simcoe County Branch. Although I’ve only been with the organization for a few months, it’s clear that the dedication, passion, and expertise of our staff, volunteers, students, Board of Directors, community partners, and supporters are what make this organization truly exceptional. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve, and I am deeply thankful for your commitment.
This season, we recognize the many traditions that bring meaning and connection to our communities—whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, the Winter Solstice, or other observances. We also acknowledge that this time of year can bring both joy and challenges for many. At CMHA Simcoe County Branch, we remain dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where every individual feels heard, valued, and supported.
In addition to the holidays mentioned, we honor the significance of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (Muslim), Lunar New Year (East Asian), Vaisakhi (Sikh and Hindu), Passover (Jewish), Indigenous cultural observances, as well as secular observances like International Human Rights Day and New Year’s Day. Each of these celebrations offers an opportunity for connection, reflection, and shared understanding.
As we look ahead to 2025, I am excited by the opportunities before us. With your continued dedication and support, we will strengthen our collective impact and continue to build a more inclusive, compassionate community.
Wishing you peace, joy, and fulfillment this holiday season and in the year ahead.
Warm regards,
Sarah Banbury
