More Than Mental Health

Since our launch in June, in partnership with Mindful Apparel, we’ve attended 29 events, connected with nearly 3,000 people, and raised almost $10,000. But More Than Mental Health isn’t just about numbers—it’s about changing perceptions and breaking down barriers to care.

A key challenge in accessing support at CMHA SCB is awareness. Many people think of CMHA SCB only as a mental health organization. In reality, our branches provide services that address the full spectrum of well-being, including:

• Mental health and addictions
• Housing and food security
• Employment supports
• Other social determinants of health

This misperception can create barriers to access, delays in seeking help, and missed opportunities for holistic care.

Sometimes, less is more. That’s why the phrase “More Than Mental Health” works—it’s simple, memorable, and sparks curiosity. It invites the question: “If it’s more than mental health, what else is it?”

This campaign answers that question. It’s clear, engaging, and grounded in modern best practices for holistic care. It positions CMHA Simcoe County as a leader, not just in mental health, but in supporting the whole person—mind, body, and community.

Our goal is simple: we want everyone to know who we are, what we do, and how to access us. Care is most powerful when people feel informed, supported, and connected—and that’s what we’re here to provide.
