Addictions Services

Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT)

Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) is a client-centred, recovery-focused mental health service for people with serious and persistent mental health illnesses. ACTT services are delivered by multidisciplinary mental health staff who work as a team to provide treatment, rehabilitation and support services to clients in achieving their goals. Case Management

Case management is a goal-oriented program open to individuals age 16 years and up who have been diagnosed with a, or have a diagnosable, serious mental illness as determined by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. (continue reading… )

Community Awareness Program and Fundraising

Court Support

The Court Support program provides support to individuals living with mental illness who are involved in the criminal justice system and require supportive housing. We also work with individuals living with mental illness who have criminal charges pending.  (continue reading… )

Crisis Services

CMHA Crisis Services offer individualized support to assist in the resolution of emotional or personal crisis. An interdisciplinary team of mental health and addiction professionals provide 24-hour services to those in crisis. Telephone, mobile and residential crisis services are available.  Dual Diagnosis

Provides intensive case management support geared to meet the unique needs of dual diagnosis clients. The emphasis is on building strong partnerships within the community to assist clients to discover their strengths, determining areas of need and developing support plans. (continue reading… )

Family Health Team

Our Mental Health Therapists and Psychiatrists are qualified professionals who will work with you in a short-term, focused, and confidential manner to find solutions. The length and type of service provided will depend on the nature of the presenting issue. We may also refer you to, or work with, other community services. (continue reading… )

Family Mental Health Initiative

Family Mental Health Initiative (FMHI) of Simcoe County has been providing education and support to family members and friends of persons experiencing mental health difficulties in Simcoe County. Nurse Practitioner Program

This program offers temporary medical support for individuals residing in Simcoe County 18 years of age and over who do NOT have a doctor (or General Practitioner). This program requires an intake process to be completed and is provided by appointment only, not accessible on a walk-in basis. (continue reading. )

Ontario Telemedicine (OTN)

CMHA has telemedicine video systems, available to provide patients with the care they need when and where they need it; at home, in their community or in the hospital.  Access to OTN is primarily initiated by the health care provider. (continue reading… )

Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP)

The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program provides individuals with publicly-funded, evidence-based, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and related approaches to help manage depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions. CBT is a structured, time-limited therapy that is problem-focused and goal-oriented and teaches practical strategies and skills. (continue reading…)

Peer Support

Peer support is created through a trusting, equal and empowering recovery-oriented relationship between two individuals who share a similar experience. RVSP Program (Clubhouse)

The RSVP (Recreation, Social, Vocational, Peer Support) Clubhouse offers individuals experiencing mental health and addiction issues an opportunity to build relationships, learn and re-learn life skills in a supportive, welcoming and safe setting. (continue reading… )

Youth Services

Approximately 1 in 5 children and youth in Ontario have a mental health challenge. About 70% of mental health challenges have their onset in childhood or youth.
